The Turbot (Scophthalmus maximus) is a prized shore species. There are two runs, late spring to early summer and early autumn. Loving shallow banks and gullies around mixed and broken ground the species can easily be targeted by Shore anglers and Lure anglers. Fish baits tend to work best for this species, sand eel is always a good start, but Whiting and Pollock fillets will select larger specimens.
