Shore fishing at Slapton Sands - Devon

A long shingle beach similar to a very mini Chesil beach. This beach is very dangerous and requires alot of respect, it shelves quickly and has a powerful longshore drift.

Species caught at this venue include, Pollock, Bass, Bream (rarely) Plaice, Dabs, Flounder, Turbot.

Popular baits include Rag, Squid, Crab.

Techniques employed are beach casting, float fishing and spinning. I would suggest it would be worth ago with a fly rod on still warm mornings and evenings.

If your in salt water try Bow fishing. Most spear fishing regulations apply to bow fishing. i know for a fact bass and bream are on the do not shoot list in LA. Near the Gulf of Mexico.
