Bass fishing article

I was flicking through Google and found this article in the Daily Express written by John Wilson.

Is this how Bass fishing in the UK really is? I do not think so; this article paints a romantic image to me and almost parallels it to big game fishing.

Bass fishing is not as great as it once was, over fishing has depleted or Bass reserves to an unhealthy level for sports angling and most importantly the fish them selves.

I look in the fish section at my local super market and see Bass for sale that are legal size but in my opinion to small to warrant keeping if I hooked them on my rod and line.

What’s your opinion, do you keep many Bass?

To the keen sea angler, there can be few more exciting techniques than drifting offshore for hard-hitting bass over steep-sided banks of sand and shingle.
And there is no better time to be out there than right now in the spring, which usually heralds prolific bass fishing.
Tidal currents passing over the crest of these offshore banks are so fierce that the waves, known as rips, crashing over them can be seen from far away.
