Bass

The Bass is considered by many sea anglers to be the marine game fish, it is a relative of the American Bass, which is more prone to lures than its British relvatives. The species is caught by novices who lack casting skills, due to its fondess of the shore line. At night Bass will often come to the surface, witihin several feet of the shore.

Tactics

When fishing from the shore, Bass are best caought at night, and dusk & dawn are the best times. Short range fishing with large baits is most sucessful from a beach or pier. Bass are very teratorial and pertroll a specific route.
