The federation is there as a central think tank and voice for you, the Sea Angler. Sadly it seems that the federation is being left high and dry.

The National Federation of Sea Anglers is funded by its growing membership and Sport England, but sadly Sport England have announced that they are withdrawing their funding. The federation is at its strongest, supporting sport anglers and finally being heard by the government.

Other countries have embraced Sea Angling and invested time, policy and money into inshore fisheries when they saw the potential return of investment. The NFSA are just starting to turn heads and making a difference but they now need more of us to help them.

There are a few choices open to the NFSA. They either close down and loose all the ground they have made or they look to us, the Anglers and rise membership fees and hope the membership growth is sustained.

I would like to hear your thoughts and opinions.

I am sure that this will more than make up for the withdrawl of the funding from
