Sea fishing mark St. Ives

There are alot of potential sea fishing marks around St. Ives. The seaward side of the Harbour wall can produce Gar fish and Mackerel, flatties and Bass can be caught. Pollock come in from the end nearest land, fishing over to the left. Porthmeor beach to the left, on the rocks is a good rock mark for Gurnard, Turbot and Plaice.

Methods in the area include bottom fishing, float fishing and plugging.

St Ives is a very popular holiday destination and many of the locations mentioned will be unfishable in the main holiday season between 10:00 and 17:00. Get there first light to avoid disappointment.
