Are you in the market for a new Boat rod or have you started Kayak fishing and looking for a new rod? The Abu Suveran Evo could well be the rod you are looking for…

Abu is a Swedish company, first started in 1921 as watch makers. After the war a shift in direction forced by market changes saw ABU form as a fishing reel company, a natural progression with the skill of fine gear and cog making. The company is well respected world wide and won the seal of “Purveyor To The Royal Swedish Court”

Back to the Fishing Rod:

This rod has been upgraded and is developed to meet the high exacting standards of modern boat / kayak angling. Designed and tests by Abu’s consultants this is truly a first class rod.

The blank (the rod before rings, reel seats and other add ons) is made from “a special mix of high modulus carbons”. This makes a light weight, thin fishing rod. The construction creates a fine and sensitive tip - ideal for bite detection progression into a powerful mid section to fight and control fish supported by a stuff butt section.

This ABU fishing rod compliments the use of traditional mono filament or modern braided lines. Braids have less stretch so you have greater contact with the fish.

The 12lb class lends it’s self perfectly to shallower Bass fishing, from Kayak and boat. The 20lb class is perfect for jigging, gilling and wrecking.

  • Multi-dynamic IM6 Carbon blank quality
  • FUJI SIC Black Line Guides
  • Hi-Grade EVA handle
  • Carbon woven DPS reel seat
  • 12lb, 20lb, 30lb and 50lb line class available

Suppliers include Fishtec - Abu Suveran rods (follow the link to buy the rod)

I would love to get some other reviews. Please comment on this post if you own a Abu Suveran Evo boat rod.
