This Beach casting mark is located on the Lizard peninsular and the easiest way to drive to the fishing mark is to take the B3293 to St Keverne, Past Goonhilly turn right at the cross roads, then follow the signs for Kennack Sands.

This beach is a very flat beach and at high tide it becomes split. The furthest side from the car park tends to fish the best at high water for beach casting. The beach on a low tide will work very well for Plaice and Bass on the clean sand.

Sand eel on a two hook rig will give you good results and you don’t have to be the best beach caster in the world, moderate casts should be good enough.

There are rocks to both sides of the beach which would be worth plugging for Bass. I haven’t tried it there but it looks the right sort of ground.

This fishing mark is easily accessed and there is good parking, but it can get very busy in the summer months.
