I have not tried this pattern of lure, but I have some on order as I think they will work well for Bass and other predator species in the UK.

This surface lure I quote is “the worlds favorite surface lure“. Quite a recommendation but I do not know from where.

Taking Bass on the surface has to be one of the most enjoyable and thrilling experiences in Bass fishing. I was not convinced at the start about how well surface lures would work, but they sure do.

The Rapala skitter pop produces a loud POP as it explodes through the surface, I understand this is similar to the noise of bait fish hitting the surface. Its this sound that attracts the hungry Bass!!
