I want a KAYAK

I really want to start this KAYAK angling. Seems it will cost about £450 to get the set up I want.

  • £380 for the KAYAK
  • Paddles
  • Kag (water proof)
  • B/A (bouancy aid)
  • rod holders
  • leash

All ineed now is to raise the money. I think there is a great future in this type of Angling.

Now how can I raise that cash ……….. ?

My first Brown trout

I was about 8 years old and I was on holiday in Scotland. My dad bought me a complete set up for a few quid. Basic, but the essentials were there.

  • reel
  • floating line
  • selection of flies
  • leader
  • game bag
  • shakespeare 9 ft rod
  • landing net
  • wellies

I was taught to cast a fly in a back road. My dad had the sense to cut the point of an old fly to save disaster.

We moved onto the real thing. A narrow and shallow river if I remember correctly banked with conifirs. Casting was not easy, but after 20 mins I had the finest small Brown trout in my hand. A native wild Brown trout.

That was me hooked for ever!!!

Flounder in PORTHLEVEN

On the 4th and 5th of November I spent the afternoon fishing in PORTHLEVEN harbour.

It was a rising tide and a big one at that, good for FLOUNDER
Weather conditions were Clear skies, Bright Sunshine but cold.

Bait was fresh RAG worm.

Rig was 1/2 oz ball lead, 2 ft leader, bead and hook

Rod was Shakespear ODESSIA flattie with Cardinal fixed spool real.

I fished in the flow and allowed the bait to move plenty. The result was 1 Ballen wrasse, 1 small pollock and 3 Flounder
