Shore fishing mark – Beer, East Devon
This steep shingle beach has never stood out as one of the best marks. The left side is very rough and produces the usual species if you are prepared to loose some tackle. The right side is rough also but not normally as productive as the left. Worm, Crab and Squid all fish well.
Interestingly, Beer is located amongst some prime Bass fishing ground. I would suggest it would make a great place to Kayak fish from!

in relation to your comment about kayak fishing, a few times now I have hired a small open boat, from the beach at Beer, for a very reasonable rate. I have stayed fairly close in, due to having my kids in the boat with me, but on one occasion caught 64 good sized mackerel in two hours. worth a try if fishing off the beach is not producing much.
