A small bit of bait on the Dexters can often pull somthing out of the bag!

A Dexter wedge fished like a pirk (draw and sink) can produce good results.<br

Fished 100 metres or so out from Langstone.

Cast well away from the kayak…tried different types of lure…a small Toby being the best one on the day. Rapala Lures and other plugs will work well in this situation as well!!While Kayaking did you get your end tackle well away from you, ie were you fishing 20 plus yards to one side. Even gentle hull slap (the water against the kayak) can put fish off!

That is a proven Bass method… Rapala Lures and other plugs will work well in this situation as well!!

While Kayaking did you get your end tackle well away from you, ie were you fishing 20 plus yards to one side. Went on a coastal walk the following day and watched some very large bass being caught on an outgoing tide from the estuary. Live sandeel was the chosen bait which never failed to get a hit when cast into the fast flowing water of the gullies.

Went to Dawlish Warren 3rd June 2011 and spent 2 days kayak fishing, picking up a couple of Mackeral and a few Gurnard from in the bay ( only about 4-5 metres deep )…..a little dissappointed but it was nice to be out there.
