Would I get another RTM Disco Kayak
This question was asked in response to this post DISCO v MALIBU TWO
I recently bought a disco and about to rig it for fishing. Keeping it simple though. No kitchen sinks for me though some electronics might not be so bad. Small gps and depthfinder.
Would you get a disco again? You seem to like the malibu a lot.
Need to get something for my girlfriend.
Talking about kitchen sinks check this fishing blog over the next few days as I have a kayak to show you with whistles and bells!! you could subscribe to the blog so as not to miss out. Look in the top right corner.
Anyway I digress - I love my RTM Disco, it fast and light to paddle but there are stability issues for the purest fisherman. Reaching behind you to get tackle out etc can be hard work and others agree with me on this point. But regarding the Malibu I could take the wife out or both my kids and the wife could follow in the Disco. I could also use the Malibu for fishing sessions where I wanted to take all the gear(there will be an article here soon about my brother who has started rigging his Ocean Duo). The price of the Malibu is also reasonable when you compare it to the fishing models.
I would like a paddle in an RTM Tempo angler (single seater) and a Quatro angler addition to see how they perform. The tempo looks a great fishing platform and I have seen a few on the water!
Anyway to answer your question and not sound like a politician, in my circumstances which is a family man with limited time and money, I would have a two seater as my “second kayak” and it would most likely be either a Duo or Malibu 2
