		<description>Great post for the beginner - the problem with lots of beginning fishermen both saltwater and freshwater is setting the hook too early. A good way to get around this is to start using circle hooks, its not a guaranteed hook up but they are self setting and you will greatly increase the odds of landing a hard striking fish. Also if you are fishing for larger species of fish that get into the 10 pound range, setting the drag on your fishing reel will tell you when the fish is on and running, although the looser the drag is the harder it is to set the hook, another reason why I like circle hooks because they can take this problem out of the equation.</description>
